OUT OF TOWN PATIENTS

Youthful Images Aesthetics warmly welcomes patients from out of town. Whether you are driving in from a neighboring city of flying in from a completely different country, you can have a seamless surgical experience and a smooth recovery. Patients coming in to our Avon, CT location must follow their instructions carefully to ensure a perfect experience. Below is a list of requirements and reminders for out of town patients must follow:
PRE-SURGERY PREPARATION
- Your consult will be done on site in our Avon, CT office. This will allow for a full examination by the doctor, proper photos of the surgical area to be taken and kept confidentially in your record, a Q&A session with an RN to review the surgical procedure, an exact quotation of all fees, and selection of your surgical date.
- All consultation material and pre procedure documents will be sent via email. These must be completed prior to your consultation.
- Patient must list ALL health conditions they have and ALL medications they are taking, including herbs and vitamins, in order to be approved for surgery.
- An RN will conduct a ZOOM pre-operative visit within 30 days of your scheduled surgery.
- All patients regardless of age, will be required to have at minimum; a physical exam by your primary care physicianand lab work. A form will be given to you at your consultation which outlines all areas of medical clearance needed based on your health status and the surgery being performed (EKG, Mammogram, Cardiac Clearance etc.)
- You must plan to arrive prior to your surgery day as follows: If your surgery is on Friday, you must arrive no later than Thursday; if your surgery is on Monday, you must arrive no later than Sunday. Appropriate prescriptions will be sent to a local pharmacy for you to pick up when you arrive prioryour surgery.
DOs AND DON’Ts
- No smoking. Nicotine gum or patches, no vaping or use of any drugs 6 weeks prior to your surgery, through 6 weeks after your surgery. You will be tested on the day of surgery. Should you test positive for nicotine or any drug substance including marijuana; your surgery will be canceled and no surgical fees will be refunded.
- No alcoholic beverages 3 days prior to surgery, through your post op period
- An RN will review with you during your Zoom visit, any and all medication that must be stopped prior to surgery.
- Ozempic or any other weight loss drugs should be stopped 3 weeks prior to surgery.
ACCOMMODATIONS & POST-OP CARE
- You must arrive one day prior to surgery (no exceptions) and stay for seven (7) days after your surgery. We have rooms available at Avon Old Farms Hotel at marked rate reductions.
- You must be accompanied by an adult at least 18 years or older (friend/family/care giver) to drop you off and pick you up after surgery. You can NOT take an Uber after your surgery, unless your caregiver will also be with you. If you do not have someone accompanying you, we can supply you with a caregiver to take you to and from the surgery and stay with you the first 24 hours, or longer if needed. The fee for this varies.
